CP24 Toy Drive
In keeping with the holiday spirit Annex Dental Group is giving back to the community. Every year we select a charity that reflects our appreciation to the community and our patients, who give us so much throughout the year. A special thanks to Lindsey Deluce for helping us making this happen.
This year's charity of choice is the CP24 Toy Drive, as many of our patients are involved in this charity.
From the hearts of Annex Dental team, thanks CP24.

Have you begun thinking of your New Year's resolutions?
Let us add one that is easy to accomplish and will offer you health and wellness benefits that are far beyond the difficulty of keeping the resolution. Are you ready for it?
Drink more water in 2012!
Your body contains between 50-80% water and needs (6-8 glasses) of water per day to function properly. While most of our daily water intake comes from foods and sources other than simply drinking a glass of water, use this resolution to simplify your water intake. Proper hydration aids in weight control, toxin release, reduces the occurrence or severity of headaches, muscle aches and much more.
To help you remember to drink more water try attaching it to tasks you already do every day.
Here is a simple schedule to show you how to easily include more water in your day.

Gum Disease and Diabetes
Gum disease is an infection in the gum, bone and tissues. Gum disease may eventually result in unstable base for your teeth, which then become mobile and may fall out or have to be removed.
Gum disease (periodontal disease) is a primary cause of tooth loss, and is often linked to diabetes.
Diabetes slows blood circulation, which can contribute to the onset of infections of gum tissues. High saliva sugar levels associated with diabetes contribute to the growth of bacteria which causes gum disease.
Smoking and poor oral hygiene for people with diabetes significantly heightens the incidence of gum disease.
